A little help

The long and short of it.

Links, QR codes, plans and privacy. Choose a question to find your answer.

How do I create a link and QR code?

Paste a public website address into the homepage, choose an available domain, and press Create. You can create one pending link while logged out. Your short link and QR code will not redirect until you create an account, verify your email, and reach your dashboard in the same browser within seven days. Your link is claimed automatically there. Unclaimed links stay inactive after the claim window expires. Verified accounts can create active links immediately.

Will my QR code stop working?

There is no automatic trial expiry. Your QR code points through your short link. It continues to use the saved destination when you cancel Pro. Pausing a link, deleting your account, or an abuse suspension stops its redirects. Links without a verified account owner do not redirect, including previously created guest links.

Can I change where it goes?

Pro lets you edit a destination. The short address and QR image stay the same, so printed codes don't need replacing. Custom endings are chosen during creation and stay fixed afterwards.

What do the stats mean?

We count requests to your links and QR URLs, separating likely bots and previews. QR-origin visits aren't proof of a physical scan. Referrers, devices and country estimates may be missing or inaccurate. Dates, times, analytics charts and exports use the timezone you choose in Settings, including daylight saving. Monthly allowance resets use UTC. We don't claim to identify unique people.

What information is stored?

We store your account details, links and destinations, and request information for analytics: timestamps, source, approximate country when available, referrer hostname, device/browser categories and a short-lived user-agent string. Full IP addresses are not stored in the analytics table. Hosting and security logs may have their own retention.

How long are analytics kept?

Your lifetime link and QR click totals stay available while the link exists. Free includes these separate totals; charts and breakdowns require Pro.

Report summaries collected on Free expire after 30 days, even though Free users can't view them. New summaries collected on Pro are kept for up to 12 months (365 days). Expired summaries are removed and can't be recovered by upgrading.

Upgrading unlocks any Free reports that haven't expired, but doesn't extend their original expiry dates. For example, a Free report collected 20 days before you upgrade still expires 10 days later. The longer retention applies to new reports collected on Pro.

If your Pro access ends, charts and breakdowns become unavailable. Existing reports keep their original expiry dates, so upgrading again only unlocks reports that haven't expired. Your lifetime click totals remain available.

Individual visit records, used to build report summaries, are kept for seven days when collected on Free and up to 90 days when collected on Pro. Browser identification strings (user agents) are removed after seven days.

Need to remove your data?

Use account deletion in Settings to remove your account, links and their analytics. This also makes printed QR codes stop working. Payment providers may retain billing records separately. Avoid shortening private URLs containing passwords, login tokens or sensitive personal information.

Something doesn't look right?

Phishing, malware and deceptive destinations aren't welcome here. Report a suspicious link for review.
